Program of the European Heritage Days // September 21 and 22
An unmissable event to (re)discover the castle and its collections at a reduced rate for everyone. This year, unusual visits to a place usually closed to the public will be offered. Lasting approximately 30 minutes, come and visit our “little paradise”. During these days, an open-air weapons room will be offered in the courtyard of the castle where the King's Musketeers will be present for fights, sword demonstrations and initiations. Will you be bold enough to try foil? Musketeers and other historical characters await you in the rooms of the castle for small dramatized skits during your visit.
Unusual visits... including the assault on one of the castle towers!
We exceptionally invite you to discover one of the places not open to the public: one of the castle towers. Access an incredible viewpoint and discover the history of this tower. Warning: more than 100 steps to climb! These unusual visits are only offered in the morning at 10:15 a.m., 11 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. duration: approximately 30-35 minutes. By reservation at 02 38 36 36 86 (limited number of places).Discover our open-air weapons room...
The king's musketeers will be present all weekend for demonstrations of passing of arms/entertainments in the main courtyard and in the castle. In addition to sword fighting shows, humorous skits await you in the afternoon in the castle rooms. By the Cyclone company.Combat initiations...

We regret to inform you that the two guided tours at 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. will not take place. Instead, unusual 30-35 minute visits are offered in the morning to discover a place usually closed to the public. In addition, dramatized skits and the king's musketeers will punctuate the day. Around ten musketeers will demonstrate weapons passes and introduce you to sword fighting for the more daring (wooden sword for the little ones). The skits and demonstrations/initiations will take place several times/day.Complete unusual visits...
