Costume like the 18th century / October 19 - 20
On October 19 and 20, 2024, an 18th century costume store will open its doors temporarily in the hall of honor of the castle. Come and discover how to dress, do your hair and get ready.
The costume store will be open from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the castle's hall of honor on the 1st floor. 8 costumed characters from the 18th century will tell you the great history of fabric and anecdotes about how to dress under Louis XV and Louis XVI.
A real return to the 18th century...
This costume store is presented in the form of continuous animation (and not a show). You can stroll through the hall of honor to chat with our 8 costumed characters to learn more about the evolution of fashion, from outfits to hairstyles, from fabrics to the essential accessories of this era of fashion. Thanks to the work of the “Ministère des Modes” company, we offer you a real dive into this period of the 18th century.
In addition, the costume store is located this weekend (October 19 and 20) in the hall of honor of the castle, the same room which is currently hosting the exhibition on Voltaire.

The activity takes place on the 1st floor of the dungeon in the hall of honor (room number 5 on the tour plan) --> not accessible to people with reduced mobility (25 steps to climb).
The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. only on October 19 and 20.
The entertainment is included in the castle entrance ticket (no extra charge)
